Vision and Beliefs
We are called to be a Spirit-led community of God’s grace and healing that provides relational opportunities for people of all backgrounds to grow in deeper levels of commitment to Jesus Christ and one another.
Spiritual formation (discipleship) is at the heart of what we are about at St. Andrew’s. We are all being formed into something. We are either allowing the world to form us into it’s image or we are allowing Christ to form us into his.
Our desire is to help people grow in knowing Christ more fully by allowing the work of the Holy Spirit to renew our minds, reorder our priorities and reshape our habits around the person and work of Jesus Christ.
As we are continually being transformed into the image of Christ, we are able to more fully enter into God’s mission for our lives in this world.
St. Andrew’s is passionate about the Father’s radical love for the world.
We embrace Jesus Christ as the one true savior.
We are anchored in the Bible as the authoritative and unchanging word of God.
We submit to the Anglican 39 Articles, the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed as our statements of the Christian faith.
We submit to our Values as an expression of what Jesus Christ has done for us.
As Christians, we believe that we are nourished by living an integrated life of three streams: scripture, spirit and sacrament.
- Scripture – highlights our adherence to the evangelical stream which upholds the Bible as God’s inspired word that contains all things necessary for salvation and serves as our authoritative guide for faith and life.
- Spirit – we believe the Holy Spirit operates today as he has done throughout history, administering the fullness of God in and through the church today.
- Sacrament – living a sacramental life underscores our belief in the ongoing importance of the one, true, holy, historic and world-wide Christian faith by incorporating the liturgical rhythms of our worship into our everyday lives.
